The thought of the time we have to devote to just getting to the gym, for example, puts a lot of people off exercising. You’re usually tired after work and see yourself at home rather than spending the rest of the day at the gym. Time is our enemy in this case. A home gym is one of the ways you can combine the pleasant with the useful.

THE BENEFITS OF A HOME GYM
With the equipment you can get for your workout today, working out at home is becoming more and more popular.
You don’t have to buy expensive and bulky fitness machines that will serve as a clothes rack later to get in shape, but you can get your body in shape with cheap, easy-to-store products.
When you have your own gym, you don’t have to be restricted by any holidays or opening hours, but you can go work out whenever you want and you can use whatever you need. Here are the benefits of why it’s great to start exercising at home.
Convenience – Plain and simple, you work out at home, where you have peace and quiet. Not only will you not be stuck in traffic or parking in front of the gym, but you’ll also save money on fuel. Plus, you can use the time you save on travel much more productively.
Most people know what they will be working out and what equipment they will need to do it, but when the equipment or machine is taken, even for an extended period of time, it is not a pleasant discovery and changing your workout because of it is not entirely pleasant. You certainly won’t get that at home.
Hygiene – Even gyms have their certain hygiene vessels. However, not everyone follows these rules. This includes your personal towel, which protects not only yourself but also the surface of the machine from sweat and bacteria.
You also need to sanitize fitness machines after your use. You don’t have to worry about any of this at home. There, you are your own boss and it is up to you how clean you keep your gym at home.
Motivation – Not everyone likes full gyms, some people prefer their own peace and privacy when exercising. They want to relax and unwind when working out. Plus, a home gym is an excellent tool for shy individuals.
There are a lot of things in a gym that can disturb you during your workout, be it people, sound, and others. At home, you put on your favorite music, put on what you feel comfortable in, and no longer deal with things that can distract you.
That’s why a home gym is a much bigger motivator for some. Plus, you can use your ideas and creativity when building a gym.
Saving money – At first, the initial investment in a home gym may seem like it will cost you a lot of money. It’s up to you what equipment you invest in.
When you calculate all the variables, such as your time, transportation, and entrance fees, you’ll find that you’ll recoup that investment many times over, after just a few months.
BUILDING A GYM
Now let’s move on to the actual construction of your own private gym. It’s important to note at the outset that you don’t have to build your home gym all at once, you can spread it out over a longer period of time and gradually add equipment one by one.
The most important thing to start with is to choose a place where everything will take place, whether it’s in the garage, basement or a room.
It’s good to have a final design in mind so that after a few months you don’t realize that you don’t actually have anywhere to put your new additions to your equipment.
The floor is the foundation, you certainly don’t want to ruin that.
If you’re going to have a gym in your apartment, for example, you can use a fitness mat as a base, on which you can work out in your workout shoes thanks to the protective film, or a fitness mat without protective film, which will make you comfortable when you work out without shoes. We can also use puzzle-shaped gymnastics mats.
This will protect not only your floor, but also you and your equipment. If you are planning a larger gym, you can use special gym floor mats that are used in fitness centers, either in the form of puzzles or precision boards that have different thicknesses of material. However, this version is quite expensive and not necessary for home workouts.
HOME GYM UP TO CZK 2000
For this option, we will choose equipment that will be versatile and with which you will exercise the whole body. It will be enough to improve your fitness, strengthen your health and firm your whole body. If your goal is to lose weight, this limited budget will also be good enough for you.
Strengthening straps – These are hanging straps, thanks to which you work out with your own body weight and you determine the intensity of the workout yourself. Plus, you can use them wherever you want. Either at home by attaching them to a door or a trapeze, or you can take them into the garden and hang them from a sturdy branch.
Jump rope – Ideal tool for warm up before training. This muscle warm up is very important as it will reduce the risk of injury. Jumping rope will also burn a lot of calories, improve your fitness and strengthen your muscles. However, this activity is a bit more space consuming, especially overhead.
HOME GYM FOR 200$
If you have a budget of 200$, I recommend getting the equipment I wrote about above, which you can supplement with more discs to the dumbbells, or add another kettlebell of different weight. As other equipment that is good to add, I recommend:
Barbell – You can get it as a fixed or adjustable one. The trapeze primarily strengthens the upper body, while also helping to strengthen your grip and core.
Again, you will find a wide variety of exercises with the trapeze. You can also use them to get started with push-ups, but they are primarily used for different variations of push-ups, such as dips for triceps push-ups, where you exercise your chest muscles and triceps. Barbells have a wide range of uses, for example, you can use them as an obstacle course.
Resistance Rubbers – A very portable and inexpensive addition to the trapeze. They have versatile uses. They can be used to warm up muscles, for actual weight training, stretching, improving mobility, etc. Resistance rubbers differ not only in colors, but also in the strength of the resistance.
If you build a home fitness, very often you have more or less limited space.
Therefore, I always recommend choosing multi-purpose equipment that will help you exercise as many muscle parts as possible.
